Ultra Premium and Foldables

In this category, we shall mention the best phones offered by Android and iOS respectively along with the price they are available at. The specifications are top notch in their respective domains, with the best possible processors, cameras, battery life, and everything else possible. We shall not be comparing these phones, because they both are the best in their categories. It is up to you to decide whether to go for iOS or Android, and these phones shall be the best options at the time.

1. Android:
-Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
-Starting price: Rs 92,999 up to Rs. 1,14,103 [difference in storage options]

2. iOS:
-Apple iPhone 11 Pro Max
-Starting price: Rs. 1,09,900 up to Rs. 1,50,800 [difference in storage options]

The phones mentioned above are the best phones in the market. But with that, we also saw the advent of foldables in the recent times. Currently, in India we only have two phones from Samsung and one from Motorola and here we have listed them along with their price and our thoughts.

1. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip
-Starting price: Rs 1,09,999
This is the latest folding smartphone from Samsung, and feature wise it is the best out of the three. It comes with modern, top of the line hardware and is a tall 6.7 inch display which folds down to a compact form.

2. Samsung Galaxy Fold
-Starting price: Rs. 1,54,990
This phone was launched a little before the Z flip, and so has a little older, but still very powerful hardware(Snapdragon 855), and a little weaker cameras. This phone in my opinion is the best implementation of a fold, with a large 7.3 inch tablet style display, which folds along the center to a more conventional tall smartphone form. It allows you to enjoy content on a large screen, with the convenience of folding it down.

3. Motorola Razr
-Starting price: Rs. 1,24,999
This phone is the worst among the three phones. It has much inferior hardware than the other two, and a really weak camera. There is nothing that this phone brings except the nostalgia of the old, popular Motorola Razr. The flip style is the same as the Z flip. In my opinion, it doesn't make sense to go for this phone as you have the Z flip which is better, and cheaper.

Realme... A formidable player?

All of us know that Realme has been making some amazing smartphones at some really affordable prices. Their phones have really been the buzz around town, and this growth has boomed quite recently. Here we take a look at this company, and why Realme might be the next big brand to watch out for. A sub-brand of Oppo, Realme started off by launching its first phone, the Realme 1, as recently as May 2018. Instantly it became a rage, and the sales numbers of the company even in its recent years were incredible. The company was started as a rival to the vastly popular and the budget king - Xiaomi. The idea was simple, to offer everything that Xiaomi did, and more at a price point which was just as affordable. The phone was instantly a success. They managed to provide a particularly great camera experience, far better than the ones offered by the rival companies in this segment. This appealed to the young crowd, the main target of this budget category, and the company saw great profits by...

The Future of the Chinese Smartphone Market

With the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic taking center-stage, things are not exactly smooth in the tech space too. Many countries are citing "poor Coronavirus transparency" as their reason to drop Chinese products as their vendors, or to stop doing business with them. Here is what we think the future holds for China. Recently UK decided to drop Huawei as their 5G vendor, and expressed a strong wish to cut all ties with the Chinese tech giant, in the foreseeable future. This doesn't come as a surprise, as people around us are mentioning the same thing, to try to reduce their reliance on Chinese products. But it really is easier said than done. Take the smartphone industry for instance. In India, the market share of Chinese smartphones is well above 65% ( source ). These phones primarily target the budget and mid-range sections of the market. India, being a huge market for the budget smartphones, is heavily dependent on these brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Rea...
